How to configure your subdomain

This guide will show you how to set up A records and point them to Landingi

To publish your landing page to your domain or subdomain, you need to add it to your account, redirect it via the DNS records and assign it to your landing page. A free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate will be automatically installed for your domain/subdomain when you add it to your account.

1. Log in to your domain provider's account.

2. Find your domain and go to the DNS zone. Here, you can usually manage servers and records – you'll need to manage the records to set up the domain.

Step 1. Access the DNS zone

Step 2. Point the DNS records

3. Now select what type of a subdomain you are adding:

  • I'm setting up a www subdomain

4. Add two A records: one for your root domain and one for the www subdomain. If you already have these records, edit their values.

5. Some domain providers may require a different form of value for the Host/Name fields, for example they may require you to add a dot at the end of the value. Copy and paste the following values in a form required by the provider.

Record A for the root domain

Name: @ / domain.com / leave empty

Value: 157.53.227.1

Record A for the www subdomain

Name: www

Value: 157.53.227.1

You can now close this section and go to step 3.

  • I'm setting up a subdomain other than www

4. Create a new or edit an existing A record for the subdomain you want to add to your account.

Record A

Name: your subdomain

Value: 157.53.227.1

5. Some domain providers may require a different form of value for the Host/Name fields, for example they may require you to add a dot at the end of the value. Copy and paste the following values in a form required by the provider.

You can now close this section and go to step 3.

When you're ready, go back to Landingi and click on Confirm/Finish.

Once you've added the subdomain to your account, our system will verify whether the DNS redirections have been done correctly. During this time, an hourglass icon will be visible next to the domain with the information that the domain is being verified. Usually, the domain will be active a few hours after adding it, but the total waiting time depends on the number of domains in our system waiting in the queue to install the certificate. We will email you when the domain is installed correctly.

A green globe icon indicates an active domain. You can assign it to your landing page.

In some cases, you have to wait between 1 and 24 hours for the records to propagate.

Step 3. Finish the configuration in Landingi
