How to configure your subdomain
This guide will show you how to set the A and CNAME records and point them to Landingi
To publish your landing page to your domain or subdomain, you need to add it to your account, redirect it via the DNS records and assign it to your landing page. A free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate will be automatically installed for your domain/subdomain when you add it to your account.
1. Log in to your domain provider's account.
2. Find your domain and edit the DNS zone. There, you can usually manage servers and records – you'll need to manage the records to set up the domain. Some domain providers only give you access to a DNS zone when you purchase a hosting package.
Step 1. Access the DNS zone
Step 2. Point the DNS records
3. Now select what type of a subdomain you are adding:
4. Add one A record for your root domain, and one CNAME record for the www subdomain. If you already have these records, edit their values.
5. Some domain providers may require a different form of value for the Host/Name fields, for example they may require you to add a dot at the end of the value. Copy and paste the following values in a form required by the provider.
Record type: A
Name: @ / domain.com / leave empty
Value: 174.129.25.170
Record type: CNAME
Name: www
Value: cname.landingi.com or cname.landingi.com.
You can now close this section and go to step 3.
4. Create a new or edit an existing CNAME record for the subdomain you want to add to your account.
Record type: CNAME
Name: your subdomain
Value: cname.landingi.com or cname.landingi.com.
5. Some domain providers may require a different form of value for the Host/Name fields, for example they may require you to add a dot at the end of the value. Copy and paste the following values in a form required by the provider.
You can now close this section and go to step 3.
When you're ready, go back to Landingi and click on Confirm/Finish.
Once you've added the subdomain to your account, our system will verify whether the DNS redirections have been done correctly. During this time, an hourglass icon will be visible next to the domain with the information that the domain is being verified. Usually, the domain will be active a few hours after adding it, but the total waiting time depends on the number of domains in our system waiting in the queue to install the certificate. We will email you when the domain is installed correctly.
A green globe icon indicates an active domain. You can assign it to your landing page.
In some cases, you have to wait between 1 and 24 hours for the records to propagate.
Step 3. Finish the configuration in Landingi
